I don't know you. And I stumbled onto ...Pat,

I don't know you. And I stumbled onto this blog by accident doing some research on liver transplants.

It is great, and I only wish you the best, and can only hope that you receive a liver as soon as possible.

I read all your posts so far. Please, continue with them. They are so well written, and your story is incredible.

What caught me was the following paragraph:

"Then the deafening, rhythmic sounds of the machine start up as the scanning begins. Somehow these sounded more musical to me than terrible, and I automatically played my own melodies over the top of the sounds, akin to mashing up a happy song by Pulp with some hardcore industrial techno music. It helped pass the time as I had to hold my breath to blue-in the-face levels for each image."

I had my first MRI last week, and I did the EXACT same thing, and eventually, put myself to sleep - which was not good, as I twitch in my sleep, which frustrated the polite MRI Tech. Glad there is a fellow muscian/MRI daydreamer out there.

Please keep posting. Your writing is great. If you have a sleepless night and need something to occupy your mind, I post small simple poems at my site, SimplRhymes. Farrington Abbot is not my real name. It's Greg, but this is the internet. Why not have some fun, right?

http://simplrhymes.blogspot.com

Take a look. Hope you enjoy. It seems increasingly difficult to hold to one's faith without being branded an idiot or simpleton. Few would argue that you are either.Mike Coulonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16260533248619111239noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3383597951409274969.post-20825227192860976942009-12-03T21:44:51.558-08:002009-12-03T21:44:51.558-08:00Pat,
Thanks again for sharing this. I went to my ...Pat,

Thanks again for sharing this. I went to my moms group last night - I call it my moms group, but it's much more than that - a community of women bound together spiritually, most of whom happen to have children. Anyway, there was definitely something moving among us yesterday as we all talked, ministering to one another and being ministered to at the same time.

I think there is something moving through your words as well, ministering to others even as you face your own battles, and there is something very powerful about that. So thanks, again, for sharing this with the rest of us.

SarahSarah Loydhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18071633263236476769noreply@blogger.com
